Visible Effects:

Striking Looks (Graceful): Standing still, Aly is… well, used to be nothing special. She’s a Child of Ra now. But when she moves, there is an aesthetic quality that rides with every gesture and flourish. She could probably make falling off a stage look good.

Touch of the Daughter of Ra: All Bak-Ra enjoy the benefits (and drawbacks) of the Striking Looks Merit at two dots, which applies to all social situations, no matter the other person’s tastes or sexuality; a Bak-Ra is just that beautiful. Aly is no exception; now, even standing still, her figure draws the eye. She gives the impression at all times that there is a bright and terrible light shining inside her, contained by her dead flesh like an opaque lampshade.

Doll Face: When she rises for the night, Aly does so with hair in a perfect braid counted to even numbers of strands, vigor in her motions and a slight hint of natural coloring that sets off her eyes without the need for makeup. Over the course of the night her look tends to fade, leaving her just a little bit wild-haired and wild-eyed by the time daysleep beckons.

Full Draw: Remarkable only for how clearly it stands out against her slender frame, Aly’s biceps, triceps, deltoids and other upper body muscles are unusually well-developed for one of her build. Someone knowledgeable might conclude she regularly practiced archery before her Embrace.

Description: So light of foot and graceful of touch and delicate of proportion that she has traveled through the entire Uncanny Valley and emerged on the other side, Alysirah (or Aly, as she almost universally introduces herself) is difficult to pin down in terms of ethnicity or background besides, perhaps, ‘vaguely middle-eastern.’ Death has desaturated her once-tawny skin, though she still wears its current shade well and restores its former hue when she bothers to take on the Blush of Life. She is just a few centimeters over average height but built on the delicate side. For better or worse, a motivated witness could pick her out of any lineup in the whole city of Savannah even without her frequent oddities of costume. Her voice rarely rises far above a whisper or discreet murmur, though it carries well enough for her to be understood even in a crowded room.

Personality: Accustomed to an early life of being seen little and heard less, Aly is flowering into the child of Bastet that her bloodline is making her. She displays anger only when her control slips, and though fear is a more constant companion she strives keep that below the surface too. When she has her poise, her response to provocation is sidelong and sharp, the sort of murmured comment that sticks in the mind even days later. Occasionally her emoting comes off just a bit late or a bit awkward, as though she is manually running smile.exe, but in general she is able to navigate social situations and seems to thrill at being admired, respected or enjoyed. How much of that is genuine and how much is artifice is a fair question. The beginnings of a priestess’ demeanor are in there, yet she keeps company with iconoclasts and revolutionaries, so they are likely to impart their own flavor to her pronouncements. Ultimately, despite being held in the stasis of undeath, Aly is just starting to discover who she actually is - if the chaos of Savannah allows her a long enough second life, or her Beast doesn’t turn her into a beautiful nightmare unbound by any leash.

Roleplay Hooks:

The Egyptology Craze: Bloodlines explicitly calling back to the Old and New Kingdoms seem to be on the rise, and given her general manner of dress and demeanor the new Mekhet fledgeling seems to be part of that. She might be a more accessible and willing source of information than the shadowy Khaibits.

Unironic Catgirl: Aly has been seen about the Obsidian Mausoleum with a cat ear headband and a worn costume tail flowing out the back of her white robes. And she does so perfectly seriously, as though these are things that normal people wear. Those curious to find out more or eager to point and laugh may track her down to do so.

Underwood’s New Childe: Those with reason to be on good terms with Beau Underwood or reasons to cause him problems might view her as a potential vector, now that she has finished her month of intensive House Training and is poking her nose out into greater Savannah.

Courier Service: The dancing is for fun. The carrying of objects, information, medicine and food is the job. Aly has cultivated a reputation first in life and now in undeath as fast and reliable, if you need to get a thing to a place and it will be difficult or inconvenient for you.

Praise The Sun: Was seen… basking?… in the rising sun just outside the Obsidian Mausoleum recently. She retreated in before she did much more than start smoking, but what the heck was that about?
