Circle of the Crone

To those who serve the Circle,

The Prince has loosened the bonds. The city may change its posture; we do not.

Within the Circle of the Crone, you shall keep the standing already granted to you—no more, no less. This is not denial. It is courtesy. A recognition of those who attend our rites, prepare our spaces, and bear witness to what they cannot yet become.

But understand this: there are doors you cannot pass through until your heart is silenced. There are sacraments that will not speak to living blood, no matter how fervent your hands or how steady your voice.

You walk beside us. You lend strength, and for that, we honour you. But the Mother does not open her arms fully to those who have not been remade. And the path beyond the veil is not lit by loyalty alone.

In shadow and sacrament,
Calliope Rivers
Oracle of the Circle

Invictus

To the Ghouls and Kindred of the First Estate,

The Prince has granted each Covenant the right to determine the standing of its own. Within the Invictus, Ghouls shall not be granted any status. They can, at best, be attached to an existing member to assist and serve, but not join.

Clan isn’t something you choose. It’s what you are. But the First Estate? That’s something different. This is an elite society built for Kindred. Built by Kindred. And no matter how loyal you are, no matter how much work you put in, you don’t belong here. It’s just truth.

You’re valuable. You may be trusted, respected, even counted on. But this Covenant is reserved for those who have died and risen. Who have borne the full weight of eternity.

Malcolm Grayson
Regent of the Invictus in Savannah

Lancea et Sanctum

To the Sanctified, and those who serve the Long Night,

As Bishop of the Lancea et Sanctum, I will not place a ceiling on devotion.

Faith is proven in action, not just in vitae. Those who walk the path with discipline, purpose, and reverence shall not be diminished for the pace of their transformation.

Let the devoted rise by their works.

Marcus Devereaux
Prince of Savannah
Bishop of the Lancea et Sanctum

Ordo Dracul

To those in service to the Ordo Dracul, Kindred and Ghoul alike.

Following the Prince’s decree concerning the recognition of ghouls within each Covenant, I have conferred with Magister Silas Moore on the matter as it pertains to the covenant.

After much conversation, we have reached a compromise: the standing of ghouls within the Ordo Dracul shall remain unchanged.

Dragons are devoted to understanding, refining, and ultimately transcending the limits of the Kindred condition. That pursuit does not begin at the moment of Embrace—it begins at the moment of inquiry. If one is to become Kindred, it does not make their time before that moment idle or unworthy. Quite the contrary. There is merit in laying a foundation of discipline and learning before the Beast awakens. There is value in preparation.

I hold that view.

Others within our order—whose experience and rigidity I respect—do not share my interpretation. They believe the path must begin in death and that anything before it is merely a shadow of true understanding. In the interest of unity, and the continued stability of our shared work, we have agreed to maintain the current limitation to Adept.

To those Ghouls who serve with clarity and intent: do not mistake limitation for dismissal. You are seen. And to those who believe the work must guard its gates even from its own, I hope your standards endure the scrutiny with which you wield them.

In resolve and refinement,
Marisol Vega
Vizier of Savannah
Magister of the Ordo Dracul

The Carthian Movement

To the Carthian Movement, and those who serve beside it—

I write not as a ruler, but as a voice among many. The Carthian ideal does not wear a crown—it chooses its leaders by merit, relevance, and usefulness. So I speak only as one who has bled for the work, and who remembers why we started it.

The Prince has allowed each Covenant to determine the standing of its own ghouls. In that light, I say this: there shall be no restriction placed on rank. If you work for the Movement, if you believe in its foundation and push it forward with sweat and purpose, then you may rise. That is your right—not as Kindred, not as ghoul, but as a contributor.

But—but—rank is not rule. Ghouls, no matter how loyal or effective, may not enact Law on behalf of the Movement. That duty remains with those who have passed through the fire and come out altered. Changed. Not better. Just… different. That boundary matters. It’s what separates belief from burden. Your vote still matters the same as the rest, however.

I know some of you have questioned my place. I don’t blame you. I feel it too, sometimes—that hum under the skin that says the world is already moving past me. But I have not stopped. And I will not. So long as I can still speak, still stand, I will say what needs saying. Even if no one’s listening.

Because someone should.

Olivia Moreau
Advocate of the Carthian Movement

Comrades,

It is… unexpected to see Advocate Moreau speak first on behalf of the Movement.

Unexpected—but not unwelcome.

Her words reflect our core truth: that status must follow merit, not vitae. The Embrace is not a coronation. Authority is not granted by blood alone. And to silence capable hands simply because their hearts still beat is to rob the Movement of its future.

So let it be understood—I support the position she outlined.

Ghouls in service to the Carthian cause may rise by their actions. Their standing within our ranks will reflect the value of their labour, not their lineage. But as she rightly noted, the power to enforce law remains in the hands of Kindred, but your vote counts for the same.

Carry on, comrades. The work continues.
